well, we were really distressed…… We couldn’t get that nut off…… It had been on there for 26 years…… Clogged up by all kinds of sludge and grime and who knows what. Plumbateria shop in Calgary drilled a couple of holes in the top of it in an effort to try to get it removed. This destroyed the nut of course. But they still couldn’t get it off. So I took it home and used a carbide bit and some dynamite to get the nut off. finally, we contacted an agent in Palestine and they redirected us to locate a replacement not at Chicago faucet. It was shipped out speedily and we effected the repair and the faucet is back in business for another 26 years! it was a bit of a draining experience, but we did kind of feel tapped out for a while, but finally everything was flowing well again.
