The original mixing valve had a visibly broken thermostat upon removal and review, in fact the lower portion came completely disconnected, but luckily pulled out easily. This Jado unit was an exact replacement and installed without any issues. From new valve to final decorative plate install, it took less than half an hour, while double checking each step along the way. Our shower again can maintain a stable temperature, throughout the adjustment range.
