I looked high and low for this replacement stem for an Arrowhead frostfree outside faucet. After also getting seasick surfing I came across the Chicago shoppe. Right product, and timely shipping. Thank you for the excellent process.

I had read that these may not be exact size for older hydrants, and that is the case with my 20+ year old. But a little filing should fix that and it will then work just like the original. There is a square part at the end of the stem onto which the sealing washer attaches, and this is the piece that is slightly too big.

Replaced the 4" stem that was leaking and stopped the leak. Remember to subtract 4" from your actual stem measurement to get the correct size. (Basically, my 4" stem was really 8" long)

I needed two faucet stems for my 20-year old Arrowhead outdoor faucets. No one had them. I Google-searched "hard to find faucet parts" and found Chicago Faucet Shoppe. In stock, factory-built parts at reasonable prices. Shipped quickly. That's why they get five stars.

Chicago Faucet was the only place I could find the correct length for my faucet. HOWEVER, the end nut was slightly larger, enough that I had to grind it down on all four sides of the nut to finally get it to fit. Now that it's installed, the leak has stopped, but a 5 minute job ended up being a 2.5 hour ordeal.

I purchased these items a second time after my first initial order, I wanted to make sure the website was up to par. I received my order very quick and had no issues. I’ll purchase from them again.
