Union Brass Ledgeback and Shelfback FAQ

What is the difference between a 170 and 170-Q? What does the Q stand for?

The Q stands for Quarter Turn Ceramic Disc Cartridges. This means the model will have ceramic cartridges installed instead of the standard compression style with replaceable washers.

What is the difference between a 170 and 170-8? What does the 8 stand for?

The 8 in the number means that the faucet is adjustable to fit sinks with holes up to 8" wide on center. The normal style without the suffix -8 means that the faucet is limited to 4.75" - 6.625" overall width.

What is the difference between a Shelf-Back and Slant-Back

Both style faucets are similar, but a Slant-Back model will sit on sinks with a 45º angled deck. The Shelf-Back model faucets will fit on sinks with a 90º faced back-splash.
